American Express Blue Cash Everyday Review

Send me an e-mail for referral link!

Are you missing out on cash back for mundane tasks such as grocery shopping? I’ve dedicated American Express Blue Cash Everyday card as my default for the weekly chore since it consistently receives 3% cash back (CB)! Also known as the Tina Fey card since she’s been in so many commercials for this… Other credit cards such as (Chase Freedom and Discover It Card) have those annoying quarterly categories that can be quite difficult to track. Confession: I own both of those too and a slew of other cards. At this point I’ve been good and haven’t applied for anymore.

If you want the quantitative break down of the APR, fees and rewards comparisons to other cards then please check out the other resources I’ll list below. (There’s a million and one stats for cards already, not going to rebuild the wheel here.) My review focuses more so on the strategy of using this as a niche card for specific very savvy features that appeal to me and could potentially work for you as well! Of course if you’re not on the market for a new credit card at this point, you could always keep this post on your radar for when they offer even more enticing sign-up bonuses than the current on the left.

Crafty Boo & Artsy Pea Etsy Review

I’ve been meaning to write a review for CraftyBoo & Artsy Pea’s Etsy Shop* for awhile, as I recently purchased a (one of a kind) knitted pussyhat! I purchased the hat offline directly from the owner, Leona! I paid with cash instead of through the Etsy website, so alas I cannot leave a review on there.

The hat itself is very warm and easily goes over my ears. My dear significant other loves to comment that I have a big head, so it’s always a worry if a hat might not fit me. (Is it just him though that thinks that?!) The material is soft and not scratchy. I can’t tell you how many scarves have forsaken me for that trait.

Spring is here?!

Aside from just hats, she also crochets beautiful shawls, scarves/cowls for people and pets (it’s not easy finding clothes that’ll keep your beloved companions warm/stylish). She also paints custom watercolor pet portraits. In the past, my future husband and I have also received a wonderful Gryffindor colored infinity scarf and ivory waffle neck warmer. Of course, everything was very comfortable and machine-washable!

As with all reviews I seldom (if ever) only sing praises, so the only downside right now is that the shop does not have a huge inventory or stock. Your best bet is to contact her with a custom order to see if she can hook you up! To get an idea of some of her products she frequently uses her lovely dogs Boo Radley (Boston Terrier) and Sweet Pea (Chihuahua) as models @boo.pea on Instagram. If you’re looking for a handmade gift or something for yourself, go ahead and take a gander on her Etsy page!

*Any reviews that I have a personal connection, or received items for free I will place a disclaimer, so you readers can make informed decisions.
Disclaimer: I know the shop owner as a personal friend from Undergrad. She has always been one of the most creative people I’ve encountered. Note that if you click the link or make any purchases I will not receive any commission.
